| Kate Tull is a freelance live literature producer with a particular interest in short stories, fiction in translation and children’s literature.
She has worked on a diverse and exciting range of projects for independent publishers and individuals, as well as programming and creating her own shows. Kate has broad experience in all aspects of managing literature events; including fund raising, marketing and selling a show, and creating new work to tour.
Starting out at the Africa Centre she worked on tours that celebrated the work of African writers. Since then she has worked on the Children’s Bookshow www.thechildrensbookshow.com and coordinated three tours for the independent publisher, Serpent’s Tail www.serpentstail.com promoting fiction in translation.
Currently Kate is working in partnership with Norden Farm Centre for the Arts www.nordenfarm.org to produce and tour a new show to theatres and arts centres across the country. This project is funded by Arts Council England. |
Come, me pickney is a live reading of a specially commissioned short story, written and performed by Valerie Bloom, and set to a specially commissioned soundscape designed by composer Jon Nicholls and lighting by Matthew Biss.
Norden Farm www.nordenfarm.org is a multi-artform centre for the arts in Maidenhead, Berkshire which has been committed to live literature since its opening in September 2000. The Centre's director, Annabel Turpin, currently co-chairs the national Live Literature Consortium, which led to the development of the Centre's first production, Wig, as well as involvement in the delivery of Lit Up, a showcase of live literature held in Kendal in 2006 (www.litup.org)
